NOTTINGHAM VENUE SUCCESS RESULTS IN NEW JOBS
Nottingham’s leading entertainment venue is on the look out for new members of staff following a successful 2011.
With plans to expand the number of events and shows as well as changes to its restaurant offering, the management team at Alea on Upper Parliament Street is now looking to increase staffing levels.
Venue Director, Mark Hands said: “We had a good year in 2011 which is allowing us to diversify the type of entertainment here at Alea.
“We’ve been working hard over the past few months and have now got an exciting programme of shows and events planned for the year ahead. Our new head chef has also been working hard on the menu which will appeal to the city’s foodies.
“The result is we now need to find the right people to work here to help us make this the best entertainment venue in the region.”
Opened in 2007 following an investment of £15 million Alea is operated by London Clubs International (LCI) whose American parent company, Harrah’s owns the world-famous Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Mark added: “Not only is it great news that we are in a position to provide new jobs for Nottingham, but the chance to be part of a business that has ambitious plans to grow throughout 2012 and beyond is a great opportunity for anyone interested.
“I’m keen to hear from those wanting to work in the leisure sector and who want to be part of an energetic team and to make the most of a working for one of the world’s largest entertainment and leisure groups.”
The new positions include a selection of part and full time positions including waiting staff, receptionists, bar staff, promotions team and poker dealers and trainee dealers to work on the casino’s gaming tables.
